About me.
Background & PhilosophyEducated at Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Business, Briercrest, and Academy of Art University, I've been able leverage my studies to both give and grow in my varied experience as an consultant, speaker, entrepreneur, marketing strategist, media creator, and leadership coach. I've been lucky to learn to grow organizations from the inside and out, as an executive, a consultant, a coach or a teacher. Both listening and guiding in the classroom has made me better at doing the same in the boardroom, and vis versa.
I believe that both Leadership and Business come down to one thing: learning.
Either you're a learning person, expecting to find out new things and change old ideas that might've been fine before, but don't work so well today, or your fixed and stuck. The same goes for organizations. Learn, grow, and change in healthy ways, or get stuck and blame everyone else.
I guess I take it for granted that while I can bring all sorts of value (and values) to the table, I still have much to learn and so I make it my primary goal to grow from every obstacle that comes my way.
Tony brings a unique breadth of understanding to the learning organisation with exceptional ability in market analytics and visual branding.
WORK HISTORY
SKILLS, ABILITIES, & EXPERIENCEVP Marketing
&
Communications

Anthony Creech has served us in significant ways at Briercrest College and Seminary. Tony understands marketing and its implications on organizational design and effectiveness. Tony has unique strengths in his ability to see things from 30,000 feet; he see the whole at work and how the parts relate. Tony has a warm and engaging demeanour. I am happy to recommend his insights and work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and re-boot the Marketing and Communications Departments
- Part of Executive Leadership Team
- Report to President
- Modernize Mar-Comm teams
- Review past data and create Mar-Comm Metrics
- 100% Growth in Awareness and Engagement
CONTEXT
I was hired to lead an expansion and raising of the bar for Briercrest, but due to inside fiscal issues not revealed until after I had taken the position, it turned into a rescue mission, through dramatic cutbacks. I'm so proud of my young team and how we expanded and far exceeded quantitative and qualitative goals despite working in harsh conditions with significantly cut resources.
LEARNING
It was a critical learning experience for me walking through such hard obstacles and finding a way to make a big difference regardless of the environment.
I learned much about managing managers and building teams and healthy processes in contexts of conflict and fear, and how even in harsh conditions, leadership, growth, and vulnerability will get the most productivity out of your teams.
CHIEF
Marketing
OFFICER

He is one of the most multi-talented people I know, and has developed skill in marketing, web-development, curriculum development, graphic design, leadership, and more. Second, Tony is a learner. He embraces new challenges and is willing to put in the hard work necessary to understand them. Moreover, Tony perseveres through difficulty with a positive attitude and ability to maintain a proper perspective on events he is facing.
Over each of these positive traits, however, perhaps the thing that stands out most to me about Tony is a comment one of our colleagues recently made about him, “Tony gets things done.” This is a great compliment because Tony is not a wishful thinker. He has the ability to put plans into action.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Marketing and Media
Product Development - Client Work and Consulting
- Lead and Co-Lead Course Development
- Curriculum Development and Design
- Report to CEO
- Lead Web Stack & Development
CONTEXT
I joined Seven Edge primarily to help build and launch digital versions of some of their core consulting tools. Although the road map was initially all set for RnD, within the first 2 quarters I was able to launch a completely rebuilt and redesigned website for the company and build an Online Organizational Diagnostic tool with Charts and reporting, for our two biggest clients at the time, Medicine Hat Police, and Just Solutions.
Despite constant flux from being responsive to our clients in the building of entire new Digital Management Tools, and the pivots taken by the visionary founder CEO, our team greatly over-achieved our initial vision and built 2 Executive level 24 month courses, as well as built and launched a working beta of a holistic Corporate Leadership Management System that could revolutionize management.
LEARNING
So grateful for the success in learning to strategize and create opportunities from seemingly impossible obstacles and growth through conflict. There was much opportunity to increase my skills in the bridge building and negotiating needed with larger than life business personalities, while both succeeding in value creation and payoff for all involved. We moved very fast and created agile ways of working to be flexible and efficient through the churn. I was surprised at both the many things we built and created and the new hard-fought learning I'll never regret.

CONTEXT
I started my first side-business while in College, making videos for my alma mater, and didn't think of myself as entrepreneur, just someone learning to listen to someone and create something as useful as it was beautiful. When I graduated and lived off of a recording studio I started, I still didn't think of myself as an entrepreneur. But as I kept creating and learning over the years, I kept growing my business while helping others do the same, whether as a side hustle or as my own full time business or bootstrapped partnership.
LEARNING
I'm thankful for such a high percentage of my clients calling me on repeat and sharing about me so that I've mostly worked off of referrals only. More than success, I see them as badges of learning. Every project and client calls for creative problem solving, close listening and critical learning if it's to be successful for everyone involved, and the ultimate measure of success isn't in getting paid but in people sharing about you. That's when you know you've been valuable.
I see the process of business creation and growth to be primarily a process of learning.
Now i'm launching a new brand (Elf & Hound) and a couple new ventures with talented entrepreneurs, and hoping to learn so much more.
